Knowledge of the house

Guides

How we brew, roast, and host — so every visit feels intentional.

End to end

How a guest moves through Revilen

From the digital menu to the last sip — the same quiet sequence whether you come for espresso or a private table.

01

Browse the menu

Explore coffee, pastry, brunch, and signature plates. Add favourites to a tasting list — nothing is charged online.

02

Reserve your table

Book an alcove, bar seat, or tasting flight. Walk-ins welcome when the room allows; reservations preferred for private tables.

03

Arrive & settle

Mall Road — soft light, linen, quiet service. Share dietary notes at the door; we adjust milk, gluten, and spice without fuss.

04

Order with intention

Ask for origin notes, intensity, or a guided flight. The bar and pastry kitchen work as one house.

05

Savour slowly

Plates and cups arrive without hurry. Affogato is poured tableside; tasting flights are paced at the counter.

06

Leave when ready

No rush to turn tables. Take home pastry when available; catering and private menus by enquiry.

At the bar

How we brew

Four paths to the cup — each matched to the photograph and the recipe we actually run.

Espresso

Eighteen grams in, thirty-six out, around twenty-eight seconds. Dense crema, chocolate finish — the house foundation.

  • · Double by default
  • · Ristretto on request
  • · House blend

Pour-over

V60 over porcelain. Light roast lots bloom for forty seconds, then pulse-poured for clarity and florals.

  • · Single origin
  • · 92°C water
  • · Served black

Milk bar

Wet microfoam for flat whites; drier foam for cappuccino. Temperature held near sixty degrees — sweetness without scald.

  • · Whole · oat · almond
  • · Latte art as finish
  • · No burnt milk

Cold brew

Eighteen-hour immersion, filtered clear, poured over a single ice block. Low acid, cocoa, soft spice.

  • · Daily batch
  • · Limited yield
  • · No concentrate shortcuts

Roast notes

Intensity, explained

Menu badges — Light, Medium, Bold — map to roast and extraction, not marketing adjectives.

Light

High florals, tea-like body. Reserved for filter and tasting flights — never pushed into dark bitterness.

Medium

Balance of sweetness and structure. The house milk-drink profile lives here.

Bold

Deeper cocoa and caramel. Espresso-forward without tipping into ash.

Milk bar

Texture without scald

Whole milk

Default for microfoam — gloss, sweetness, and stretch that holds art.

Oat

Barista oat steamed cooler. Creamy body; slightly sweeter finish.

Almond

Lighter foam. Best in flat whites and cortados where coffee leads.

House rules

How we operate

Roastery & kitchen first

Revilen is a maison café with roast and pastry under one roof — not a franchise script. Photography matches what leaves the pass.

List, not checkout

The site builds a tasting list and reservation. Final tickets settle at the counter.

One quiet room

Bar, pastry, brunch pass, and private alcove share the same light and the same standards.

Seasonal honesty

Fruit, origins, and specials rotate. If something is unavailable, we say so — and offer the next best cup.

Beyond the room

Private events & catering

For houses and closings that need Revilen off-site.

  • · Menus composed around coffee, pastry, and light savoury
  • · Staffed service available on enquiry
  • · Lead time depends on season and guest count

Guests

Voices from the room

We book the alcove every week — flat white, croissant, soft light. It feels like a private house, not a café chain.

Simran & Harpreet

Amritsar · Sunday morning ritual

Twenty quiet minutes at the bar taught me more about coffee than years of hopping. Precise, unhurried, unforgettable.

Ananya Mehta

Chandigarh · Origin tasting flight

The tasting list from the site made arrival easy — our tart and Darjeeling were already waiting.

Gurleen Kaur

Ludhiana · Seasonal fruit tart

Revilen catered a closing dinner with the same silence and certainty as the room on Mall Road.

Mehra Events

Jalandhar · Private catering

Whisked to jade foam, served without milk unless asked. Purity first — exactly what we wanted.

Navjot Singh

Amritsar · Matcha ceremony

Hot espresso over cold gelato tableside. Photography matched the plate. We drive in just for this.

Priya Sharma

Delhi NCR · Golden affogato
